Help Wanted in Lynchburg
Looking for work, a trade, a new skill, or a way to start something of your own? Here’s where folks around Lynchburg and Moore County find jobs, training and a helping hand. Every link goes to the source itself: the job center, the county, the school, or the employer’s own careers page.
Never pay to apply. A real employer won’t ask you for money, a starter kit, your bank details or your Social Security number before you’re hired. We review every listing but don’t vouch for employers.

Help Wanted rulesPlain and simple. They apply to every post.
Who can post
Local businesses, nonprofits, churches, farms and public agencies in or near Lynchburg. Organizations only: we don’t take posts from individuals. Posting is free.
What you can post
- A real, paid job (full-time, part-time or seasonal).
- An apprenticeship, internship or pre-apprenticeship that is paid or earns school credit and has a real training plan.
- A class or workshop that is free or clearly priced.
What we won’t post
- Anything illegal, or work that needs a license you don’t have.
- Adult content, gambling, or jobs selling alcohol, tobacco, vapes or cannabis.
- “Pay to start,” starter kits, multi-level marketing, or commission-only pitches.
- Work-from-home, crypto, reshipping or check-cashing offers.
- Posts without a real business behind them, or too vague to tell what the job is.
- Anything that asks applicants for money, a Social Security number or bank details before hiring.
- Wording that shuts people out because of age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin or disability.
- Political campaign jobs.
- Unpaid “training” that is really free labor.
- Classes on medical treatments or remedies, firearms classes other than official courses (like TWRA hunter education), or get-rich seminars.
How it works
- Fill in the form below. Tell us how people should apply: a business email, website or address. We don’t publish personal cell numbers.
- We review every post by hand before it’s listed. We check that your organization is real and the job is what it says. We may call or email the contact you give us; that contact is never published.
- Nothing posts automatically. If it passes, it goes up with the date we posted it, and it comes down on its own after 30 days.
- We can say no or take a post down at any time.
Young people
Jobs and programs for anyone under 18 are listed only through schools or official programs. We never publish a young person’s name, photo or contact.
