Take the "now" for an old photo
Stand where an old photo was taken and take the same view today, from a public spot. Then-and-now pairs help everyone see how the town changed.

How to do it
- Pick an old photo you have rights to (your family's own), or a public-domain one like the 1886 courthouse photo on our tour.
- Find the spot. Stand on a public sidewalk or the courthouse lawn, never in the street.
- Match the angle and take the photo.
- Send both to us with who took the old one, and permission to print.
Grown-ups’ part
Come along, keep it short and fun, and let the kids lead the looking and asking. You handle anything that involves calling, sending or sharing.
Safety and respect
A grown-up comes along. The square is ringed by U.S. 64 (College St.) and U.S. 431 (Main Ave.): use crosswalks and watch for traffic.
