Square History Hunt
A planned hunt for families: visit stops on the square, read what's printed on each marker or building, and collect code words from participating businesses. Nothing is hidden.

How to do it
- Pick up a clue sheet when the hunt opens (watch the newsletter).
- Every answer is in plain view from a public sidewalk or the courthouse grounds.
- A grown-up sends the answers. Finishers can be listed as Square Scholars, first name and town only, with OK.
Grown-ups’ part
Come along, keep it short and fun, and let the kids lead the looking and asking. You handle anything that involves calling, sending or sharing.
Safety and respect
Nothing is hidden: don't dig, climb or move anything, and stay off private property and planting beds. A grown-up comes along. The square is ringed by U.S. 64 (College St.) and U.S. 431 (Main Ave.): use crosswalks and watch for traffic.
